Code of Ethics Requirement

NAR has mandated that all REALTORS must complete
a MANDATORY Ethics Training Program every two years.

The two year cycle began on January 1, 2019 and ends on December 31, 2020.  All REALTORS must complete two-and-a-half hours of Code of Ethics Training within this two year cycle, according to the NAR policy.  Failure to do so will result in suspension of Association membership until the requirement is met.  The next cycle will be January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022.

There are many ways to complete your required Code of Ethics Training:

  1. LICENSE RENEWAL: If you plan to renew your RE license between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020, the ethics course included in your license renewal does satisfy this requirement

  2. LIVE COURSES: SRAR has live Ethics Courses available.

  3. ONLINE COURSES: Online courses the easiest and are available on both www.car.org, www.realtor.org and several other online class options. Click the below links to be directed to class offerings:

NAR Online Code of Ethics Training -  Two options: CE Credit $29.95 or FREE with no credits.   Automatic notification to SRAR and NAR

All other course certificates should be emailed to Codeofethics@srar.com

Future Cycles:

January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022
January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024
